The short version
Attio is a polished CRM with a generous Free plan (up to 3 seats and 50,000 records) and an MCP server on every plan. Paid plans are per seat, and Attio meters its own AI and workflows with credits. Zyflow is a lightweight CRM that runs no AI: Claude, ChatGPT2 or any MCP app does the work, every AI change is labeled and can be undone,1 and one price covers the whole team. For 1 to 3 people, Attio Free gives you more for $0.
Zyflow vs Attio at a glance
Attio charges per seat and sells credits for its own AI and workflows. Zyflow charges one price for the team and has no AI to sell. Neither charges you when Claude or ChatGPT works in it over MCP. They differ in what happens when your AI writes, in what sits in the customer record, and in email sync, which Attio has and Zyflow doesn’t.

Zyflow doesn’t read your inbox, calendar, calls or WhatsApp. Tell your AI, or paste the thread, and your AI files it after showing you what it found.
If you need email sync, sequences or enrichment, Attio is ahead. If you want one price as your team grows past 3 people, plus invoices, files and an Undo on every AI change in the same record,1 Zyflow is the Attio alternative to try.
Attio pricing in 2026: seats, credits and what a team pays
Attio’s Free plan costs $0 for up to 3 seats. Plus costs $35 a seat a month billed yearly ($44 monthly) and stops at 10 seats. Pro costs $79 a seat billed yearly ($99 monthly) with no seat cap, and Enterprise is priced on request. Every plan includes monthly seat credits and workspace credits for Attio’s own AI and workflows (checked Oct 3, 2026).
| Plan | Per seat a month, billed yearly (monthly) | Seats | Records | File storage | Credits a month: per user / per workspace |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Up to 3 | 50,000 | 50 GB | 100 / 250 |
| Plus | $35 ($44) | Up to 10 | 250,000 | 50 GB | 500 / 1,500 |
| Pro | $79 ($99) | No cap | 1,000,000 | Unlimited | 1,000 / 10,000 |
| Enterprise | Custom | No cap | Custom | Unlimited | 2,500 / custom |
On Attio, yearly billing saves 20%. Pro has a 14-day trial. Extra workspace credits run from 5,000 for $70 a month billed yearly ($85 monthly) to 50,000 for $475 ($595).
What Attio’s credits pay for
Attio has two kinds of credits. Seat credits are personal and pay only for Ask Attio, its built-in AI. Workspace credits are shared and pay for workflows and AI features. Ask Attio spends seat credits first, and Attio’s own examples put meeting prep at 10 to 20 credits. In workflows, each data write costs 1 credit, and AI attributes cost 1 to 10 credits per record. When both kinds run out, Ask Attio stops. Attio’s help center doesn’t list its MCP server among the things that use credits, so Claude or ChatGPT working in Attio isn’t billed this way (checked Oct 3, 2026).
What 3, 5 and 10 people pay
On Attio Plus, 5 people pay $175 a month billed yearly, or $220 monthly, and 10 people pay $350 or $440. Plus stops at 10 seats, so an 11th person moves the team to Pro at $79 a seat billed yearly, and the monthly bill goes from $350 to $869. Zyflow Team covers up to 10 people for $25 a month billed yearly, or $30 monthly.
| People | Attio, billed yearly | Attio, billed monthly | Zyflow, billed yearly | Zyflow, billed monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $0 (Free) | $0 (Free) | $0 (Free) | $0 (Free) |
| 3 | $0 (Free), or $105 on Plus | $0 (Free), or $132 on Plus | $10 (Solo) | $12 (Solo) |
| 5 | $175 (Plus) | $220 (Plus) | $25 (Team) | $30 (Team) |
| 10 | $350 (Plus) | $440 (Plus) | $25 (Team) | $30 (Team) |
| 11 | $869 (Pro) | $1,089 (Pro) | $75 (Pro) | $90 (Pro) |
Prices in US$. Founding prices aren’t in this table.
At 2 or 3 people, Attio Free costs less than Zyflow, and at 1 person it holds far more for the same $0. At that size Attio wins on price, so the reason to pick Zyflow is what sits in the customer record.

When Attio is the better choice
Attio is the better choice if you’re 1 to 3 people and want email sync and 50,000 records at $0, or if you rely on sales tools Zyflow doesn’t have. We’d stay on Attio if you:
- are 1 to 3 people and want a free CRM with email and calendar sync
- need enrichment, workflows or reports, or sequences and call recording (Pro)
- want custom objects to model your own data (Pro)
- want the CRM’s own AI, Ask Attio, inside the app
- need SSO (Enterprise)
- use Claude or ChatGPT with Attio and rarely open Ask Attio, so credits never come up
If two or more of these describe you, stay where you are: a CRM you’ve already set up well is worth keeping.

Each Attio alternative below changes something different. HubSpot Free gives 2 people marketing tools and email in one place, and Twenty is the open-source option for technical teams. - The limit: per seat, with no free plan.
- Compare: Pipedrive alternatives
Clarify
Best for: startups that want an AI that runs the CRM, without a per-seat fee.

- The limit: Clarify’s own AI does the work, and it’s metered in credits.
Zyflow vs Attio in detail
Zyflow suits owner-operators and teams of 1 to 10 who sell expertise and work in Claude or ChatGPT2 every day. The two CRMs differ most in what happens when your AI writes, what sits in each customer record and how the price grows with the team.
When your AI writes: labels, asking first and undo
Both CRMs put guardrails on AI writes. Attio’s MCP server signs you in with OAuth and gives your AI your own Attio permissions. Reads run straight away, writes ask you to confirm first, and Attio says every operation is logged and auditable (Attio MCP docs, checked Oct 3, 2026).
Zyflow puts its own guardrails on every AI write:
- Every change carries the name of the app that made it: “Added by Claude via MCP”.
- Each thing your AI does is one change, and one click undoes it, even 40 contacts edited at once.1
- AI apps can only move things to a 30-day trash. They can’t delete anything for good.
- Bulk changes show a preview first and stop at 200 records.
- When a name could mean two people, Zyflow sends your AI the candidates, and your AI asks you which one you mean.
Your AI will get things wrong sometimes. Plan for that.
Invoices, quotes, files and money owed in the same record
In Attio, invoices and quotes come through apps such as Stripe Invoicing, PandaDoc and Attibooks for QuickBooks. Stripe Invoicing also collects payment, which Zyflow doesn’t do: Zyflow records payments; it doesn’t collect them, and there are no card payment links.
In Zyflow, the paperwork sits on the customer your AI already reaches. Say “Invoice Northwind for 3 workshop days at $1,200, plus 10% tax.” Zyflow numbers the invoice, works out the tax, renders a branded PDF, files it under Northwind and returns a link that works for 7 days. Unit prices come from what you or your AI enter; there’s no price list.
Say “Northwind owes $4,800 and will pay by Friday.” Zyflow records the balance, the promise date and a collection reminder that closes itself once the payment is recorded. Files sit in a drive your AI can search and tidy, and each morning Today lists who’s waiting and who owes you. Zyflow sends nothing to your customers; your AI drafts and you press send.
One price for the whole team
Attio adds a seat for every person, and Plus stops at 10. Zyflow prices the team: Solo covers up to 3 people for $10 a month billed yearly, Team up to 10 for $25, and Pro up to 30 for $75. AI apps, API keys and AI agents never count as people, so connecting Cursor next to Claude doesn’t change your bill.
Why it costs less: Zyflow runs no AI, so it has no AI costs to pass on and nothing to meter.
No hidden costs: no onboarding fee, no seat minimum, no AI credits and no overage charges. Free has no time limit.
Your AI’s calls are never billed. Zyflow Free is for 1 person, though, while Attio Free covers 3. Software that costs more every time you add a person quietly discourages you from growing.
How to switch from Attio
You can move your contacts and companies from Attio to Zyflow with two CSV files from Attio’s own export. Deals and notes don’t come across in the import, so your AI adds open deals as you talk about them. Keep Attio running until you’re sure.
-
Export from Attio. Open a People view, show the columns you want, click Save for everyone, then choose Import / Export > Export view as CSV. Repeat for Companies. Enriched fields export as blank cells.
-
Import into Zyflow. Start free, then import People first and Companies second. You get a preview and a guessed column mapping, and you can tag every row. Matching rows update the record you already have, and unclear rows are skipped and listed. The whole file is one change, so one undo takes it back.1
-
Connect your AI. Paste your Zyflow link into Claude, Cursor or another MCP app, then sign in and approve. As deals, follow-ups and client facts come up, tell your AI and it files them. For the Claude steps, see Claude CRM.
-
Keep Attio until you’re happy. Run both as long as you like, and export your records from Zyflow any time.4 Before you move client records, read the security page.
Limits to know before you start
- CSV only, up to 50,000 rows and 10 MB a file, with up to 2 emails and 2 phones per row.
- Contacts and companies only. Deals, notes and activity history don’t come across.
- Free holds 5,000 contacts, companies and deals. If your Attio workspace holds more, Solo holds 10,000 and Team 50,000.
Not a fit if...
Zyflow isn’t a fit yet if you need:
- email or calendar sync, sequences, campaigns, dialers or forecasting
- dispatch, booking or texting for trades and field service
- a home for regulated data, such as patient records
- property listings and showings for real-estate work
- a WhatsApp inbox
- card payment collection or e-signature
- SSO, two-factor sign-in or per-person permissions
- certifications such as SOC 2, or EU data residency
- a native mobile app, or a language other than English
- more than 30 people
It’s also not for you if you don’t use an AI app and don’t plan to.
Coming from Attio, add three more: Zyflow has no workflow builder, no enrichment and no custom reports. If your team runs on those, stay on Attio.
Questions about Attio and Zyflow
What is Attio and why do teams use it?
Attio is a CRM aimed at startups and revenue teams; its pricing page headline is “From zero to IPO.” Teams pick it for a flexible data model, a polished interface, email and calendar sync and a generous Free plan. It also has its own AI, Ask Attio. Attio says more than 30,000 customers use it (attio.com, checked Oct 2, 2026).
Is Attio free?
Yes, for up to 3 seats. Attio Free costs $0 and includes 50,000 records, 50 GB of files, one synced email and calendar mailbox per member, and the MCP server. Paid plans are per seat: Plus is $35 a seat a month billed yearly ($44 monthly) for up to 10 seats, and Pro is $79 ($99 monthly) with no cap. Prices checked Oct 3, 2026.
Does Attio charge for AI, and do credits apply when Claude or ChatGPT uses Attio’s MCP?
For its own AI, yes. Ask Attio, AI attributes and workflows use seat and workspace credits: 100 per user and 250 a workspace each month on Free, 1,000 and 10,000 on Pro. Extra packs start at $70 a month for 5,000, billed yearly. Attio doesn’t list its MCP server among the things that use credits, so Claude or ChatGPT working in Attio isn’t billed that way (checked Oct 3, 2026). Zyflow has no credits at all.
Which Attio alternative fits a small team that already uses Claude or ChatGPT?
It depends on what you want to change:
- Up to 3 people who want email sync: Attio Free is hard to beat.
- Open source and self-hosting: Twenty.
- A visual sales pipeline: Pipedrive.
- A lightweight CRM your AI keeps up to date, with labeled, undoable AI changes,1 invoices and files in the same record, and one price for up to 10 people: Zyflow.
Is there an open-source Attio alternative?
Yes: Twenty. You can self-host its open-source core for free, or use the cloud from $9 a user a month billed yearly, with an MCP server on every cloud workspace (checked Oct 3, 2026). Zyflow is a hosted service and isn’t open source.
Attio vs HubSpot: which suits a small business?
HubSpot Free covers 2 users and 1,000 contacts and adds marketing tools. Attio Free covers 3 seats and 50,000 records. Both charge per seat once you pay, and both meter their own AI with credits. HubSpot suits teams that want marketing and sales in one place; Attio suits teams that want a flexible data model (checked Oct 3, 2026).
Can I move my data from Attio to Zyflow?
Yes, for contacts and companies. Export a People or Companies view from Attio as a CSV, then import it into Zyflow. Zyflow finds the records you already have, lists what it skipped, and treats the whole file as one undo.1 Deals and notes don’t come across in the import, so your AI adds open deals as you talk.
Does Zyflow work with Claude and ChatGPT?
Yes. Claude works on every plan; Claude Free allows one custom connector. ChatGPT can write to Zyflow on Business, Enterprise or Edu plans in developer mode.2 Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI and Windsurf have setup guides, and any other MCP app connects with your Zyflow link. The full tool list and how sign-in works are on our CRM MCP server page.
